| Artist Statement | I use deer as a symbol that represents innocence (of man potentially) in a world that is constantly changing. Is his innocence a condition that can remain in this state perpetually? Could a human being, an adult human being, man even more intensely, be a Kadid, an innocent observer of events? My deer stands in my installation with its antlers hanging on its back as a comment of mine on violence, on its inherent or acquired character. |
